Library · Body

Avatars

The resource is Body. An MHR avatar: sex, size, pose. You pick one. You do not sculpt it.

Collision and display share that topology. Not a store listing, not a fit guarantee, not custom measurements.

The two you use

Everyday workflows pin these. dress_blank uses male M, catalog stand. Drag to turn; they keep spinning on their own.

Default · dress_blank

Male M

body.select(sex="male", size="M")

Default

Female M

body.select(sex="female", size="M")

Every size

Female and male, XS through 5XL. The strip is the catalog stand. Pick the Body that matches the Pattern size. Do not scale a draped M onto another avatar.

Female

Female avatar catalog, sizes XS through 5XL, front, native straight pose.

Male

Male avatar catalog, sizes XS through 5XL, front, native straight pose.

Agents send sex, size, and pose — not a mesh. Click a size or a pose to fill body.select.

Poses

The library is named poses on that MHR body: catalog stand, a walk, weight on one leg, hands on hips, a hand in a pocket. You select one. A different pose is a new Body and a new drape.

Female

Male

A custom pose is the same catalog avatar, posed. Identity and size stay the library's. That job is physics on the body (Newton). You do not upload a mesh, and you do not author joint angles.

Other bodies

The catalog is MHR. SMPL, SMPL-X, and the rest of that family are not a second factory body. They come through NVIDIA SOMA — one shared topology and skeleton — and become a Body. A pose or identity captured there can land on the catalog avatar. You still send sex, size, pose. You do not send a mesh.

How you pick one

body = bw.bodies.select(sex="male", size="M", pose="native_straight")
# body.id → body_male_m_native_straight
SendValues

poseA library name. Default native_straight. Or a custom pose on this avatar.

body.list / body.get fetch the same catalog. Do not send custom measurements, landmarks, joint angles, or a mesh. A different size or pose is a new Body and a new drape.

On-avatar stills

After a Run exists, stills draw the garment on this avatar. Avatar is not a second resource. Beforewear stills are views of the selected garment state. They do not establish manufacturing readiness or physical fit.

render(..., body=)What you get
displayOn-avatar. The garment on the catalog body.
ghostAvatar present, held back.
garment_onlyCloth without the avatar in frame.

Presentation stills of the garment are mockup.render: on-avatar, ghost mannequin, lay-flat, or on-model. See mockups. Cloth off the avatar as physics is in_space — not a different Body.
